Just 60 minutes drive straight up the Bruce highway from the Northern suburbs of Brisbane, the charming historic town of Eumundi with its big wide main street and towering heritage-listed fig trees has developed into one of the jewels of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
There’s heaps to do in this historic hinterland town – aside from the world famous Eumundi Markets on Saturday and Wednesday. Eumundi boasts six fabulous art galleries, various retail outlets including boutique shopping and the famous Berkelouw Book Barn. The town is spoilt for choice when it comes to dining, with options ranging from our iconic pubs Joe’s Waterhole and The Imperial Hotel, to relaxed cafes and coffee shops, right through to top-notch restaurant fare.
Eumundi is also home to Discover Eumundi Heritage and Visitor Centre, hub of all the tourist information and filled with wonderful artefacts and information about the town’s early days and development. Pick up a historical walk booklet and learn more about the many historic buildings constructed between 1890 and 1930.
Why not make a weekend of your trip to Eumundi ‘Live’ and stay at one of the many fantastic B&Bs in and around Eumundi.
